Non-Life Master/Life Master Game

April 29, 2008

7:00 Tuesday. Facts you might not know:

  • It is free for the Life Master half of the pair.
  • There is something very nice about this event. People in our unit care about this event and pay more attention to it than probably any other event in the tournament. There is a nice spirit in the air.
  • Typically you sign up and a partner is found for you. You may also find your own partner. (Teachers: please indicate if you are signing up a beginner who needs special attention.)
  • Since the Fall of 2005, this has been a charity game. Money from the Spring 2008 Regional went to the Chemotherapy Foundation.
  • Going the extra mile to welcome visitors and newcomers: In the Spring 2007 regional, the winning pair was formed just before game time with a Life Master from British Columbia and non-Life Master who (1) just came with his friend, (2) was not intended to play, and (3) who had not played in a tournament before.
  • Pre-registration is preferred. Information is below.
  • It is a lot of work to put on this event
  • The requirement for being a non Lifemaster now includes having fewer than 300 masterpoints.
