About our Regionals
We have two regionals a year, at the Sheraton in Hauppage. Some recurring events:
The non-LifeMaster/LifeMaster Pairs is a popular charity event kicking off our regional on Tuesay evening. (more information)
The Intermediate/Newcomer event are specially designed to be good experiences for intermediates and newcomers. (more information)
Carol Mathews usually provides a meeting for teachers. There is usually food.
Gold Point Pairs. This is a pairs event for 0-750. Players are eligible for masterpoint awards in their own or any higher stratum. The 300-750 stratum pays GOLD for section tops and overalls. (Everyone who plays is eligible to win these points, it is just that if you are in a lower strata you are also eligible for nongold points in your strata.)
Caddies are always needed. Pay is $30 per session or $80 for 2 consecutive sessions. (more information).
Another excellent event for winning gold points is the bracketed Round-Robin Swiss. You play only against teams with similar masterpoint totals, and 3 of the 8 teams in your bracket win gold points. (The top bracket will be a regular Swiss, and anyone who wants may join it.)
